Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Shivayur International Marketing Private Limited ("Shivayur", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses and protects your personal information when you visit www.shivayur.com (the "Site") or place an order. We respect your privacy and handle your data carefully and transparently.

• Account information. When you create an account, we collect your name and email address, and store a hashed (encrypted) version of your password. Account credentials and sessions are managed through our authentication provider, Supabase.
• Order and checkout information. When you place an order, we collect your full name, email address, phone number, shipping address (address line, city, state and pincode), the items ordered, quantities, prices and order totals. If you are signed in, your orders are saved to your account.
• Device information. If you shop as a guest, your cart and order history are stored only on your own device using your browser's local storage, and are not uploaded to our servers. We also store a small flag on your device when you join a product waitlist.
• Enquiries. If you subscribe to our newsletter or join the waitlist, we use your email only at that moment; in the current version of the Site, newsletter and waitlist email addresses are not retained.

We use your information to: process and fulfil orders, including dispatch and tracking; manage your account and authentication; process payments through our payment provider; respond to support enquiries; maintain and improve the Site; and comply with legal obligations. We do not use your data for advertising, profiling or automated decision-making.

We process personal information in accordance with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the "DPDP Act") and other applicable law. We rely on: your consent, where you provide it (for example, when you create an account); the performance of a contract (fulfilling your order); and our legitimate interests (operating and securing the Site).

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate the Site: Supabase (authentication, database and hosting) and Razorpay (payment processing). These providers access your data only to the extent needed to perform their services. We may also disclose information where required by law, or to protect our rights and the safety of others.

Payments are processed through Razorpay's secure, hosted checkout. When you pay, you provide your card or other payment details directly to Razorpay inside their own interface. Shivayur never receives, stores or has access to your card number, expiry date or CVV. We only store a reference to the payment (such as the payment ID) for order reconciliation.

The Site does not use tracking cookies or analytics. Like most websites, it uses browser local storage for essential functions: to remember your shopping cart, your guest order history, a waitlist flag, and your sign-in session (managed by our authentication provider). You can clear this data through your browser settings; doing so may remove your cart or guest order history.

When you use the Site, your browser may contact the following third parties: Google Fonts (to load the fonts used on the Site), Supabase (our hosting and database provider), and Razorpay (when you start a payment). We link to Instagram for social — following that link takes you to Instagram's own privacy practices. We do not embed third-party analytics or advertising trackers.

We retain order records for as long as needed to fulfil and support your order, maintain your account, and meet legal obligations. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see "Your Rights"). Data stored on your own device (guest cart and orders) is controlled by you and can be cleared via your browser.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), least-privilege access controls, and row-level security on the database that stores orders so that you can only ever see your own order history. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Some of our service providers (such as Supabase and Razorpay) may process data on infrastructure located outside India. Where personal information is transferred, we rely on appropriate safeguards and applicable legal mechanisms to protect it.

The Site is intended for adults aged 18 and above and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date, and material changes will be highlighted where practicable.
